Bad at Minecraft designs?

There we were building our house, the front wall had a two block center and a two block wide pathway in between some flowers. There were dark oak pillars at the very end to give our house some depth and the wall was made of oak, we were arguing on which doors to use, dark oak or birch.

Now, in my opinion, the DO doors looked better because it contrasted with the oak wall and blended with the outer pillars. She argued that the birch doors look better because it make the house look “bright.” I am holding a poll to see which one we should do.

IMO dark Oak would be a lot better, since birch would stick out like a sore thumb, and probably not in a fashionable way.
