Minecraft Capes! For Minecraft

We are already familiar with the Mine Con Cape Mod which was released immediately after the Mine Con 2011, inspired by the actual capes distribute at the Minecraft convention. However, the mod was only limited to the developer created capes.

Did you ever feel like sporting a cape with the superman logo on it? Don't worry. Minecraft Capes! Lets you to create custom capes or choose from a large gallery. All you need to do is create an account on the website, login and create your custom picture and finalize on it. Then you must copy the small file generated from the website and copy it in your minecraft.jar file. Alternatively, you could simply choose from the cape gallery hosted at the mod website. It is fairly easy to change your capes by generating new cape files and replacing them with your current ones.

This mod is supported on multiplayer servers. So now you can flaunt your own customized cape in front of your friends. Thus playing on server where no one is using such a mod is useless. The only solution is that your friends also have the mod installed else he/ she will not be able to witness your cool cape.

You do not need to restart a new world in order to activate your cape and the Minecraft Capes! Mod is supported by Minecraft 1.2.5 and 1.2.4.

Don't expect too much fancy modifications on your cape because in the end your cape will look pixilated, just to match the game textures. You have the option to download the cool Mine Con capes and even find modified capes of the same.

In any case, you get tired by your cape, you just have to remove the mod or select the toggle button to remove it temporarily.

However, you must create an account first before creating your custom capes. In case you do forget your password, the developer is generous enough to provide a password resetting option so you don't have to hassle through making a new account.
