Witch hunting?

I'm just playing Minecraft in hardcore alone, I have 2,5 hearts left, and no auto regeneration, what is the easiest option to get some hearts back fast?

I don't have a brewing stand, couldn't find a lava lake yet to go to the nether. I was thinking about killing some witches and hope for a healing potion, but I couldn't find a swamp yet.

If you've got some really powerful bow, then you could try to shoot some witches from the distance, but if not, then don't try to kill them. Try to make some golden apples if you've got at least some gold.

Don't go witch hunting at 2.5 hearts. Sorry but that's all the advice I got!
